Activ & e-Citizen
Confirming its status as the most innovative
and fastest growing software provider in the e-skills market, Activ
Training was pleased back in November 2004 to announce the release
of the first ever Automated Testing product for the new e-Citizen
Qualification.
e-Citizen is the entry-level Internet-related skills qualification
from the BCS. Its purpose is to provide computer users
with the skills
necessary
to use the Internet to search for information, make bookings,
conduct business and fully participate in the ‘electronic world’.
The qualification is closely aligned to the current requirements
for e-Government, providing users with the skills required to conduct
much of their day-to-day ‘life administration’ online.

For those centres registered as LSC providers, e-Citizen qualifies for LSC funding. The BCS has been successful in mapping the e-Citizen programme to the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) at Entry Level and e-Citizen has been accepted as a 30 guided-learning hour programme with the LSC programme weighting set at A – 1.00. The Learning Aim Reference is: 10044218. Please visit the BCS Test Centre Forum to check current LSC funding information for e-Citizen.
To gain the qualification, Candidates must pass a single automated
test. e-Citizen can only be accredited using Automated Testing,
and Activ were the first providers of Automated
Testing Software
for the Qualification.
We also provide ECDL Foundation-approved computer-based e-Citizen
Training Software that is tailored specifically for the needs
of those
who are new to computers.
And, of course, all clients using Activ Training e-Citizen
testing or training will have the benefits of our full Managed
Support
Service for their implementation and Test Centre operations.
The e-Citizen courses are now well established in many BCS Test Centres, and along with the e-type keyboard skills qualification and ECDL/IT User qualification, provide a smooth progression to aquire the necessary skills in IT for the workplace and life in general.
Use the online
form at Contact
