New 2003 Tests Launched
Users of our Office 2003 version of the ECDL exams will be interested to hear that we have made changes to their style and content, and that these changes were implemented in the last week or so. You may have already noticed the differences! We conducted a series of revisions against all the module tests in the 2003 suite. As a result, we have made some improvements to the textual clarity of a number of the questions.
Additionally, we have reduced the number of ‘multiple choice questions’ (MCQs), and replaced them with ‘action tasks’, which test performance, as opposed to just knowledge. This work was conducted as part of Activ’s normal programme of product review and improvement which depends upon feedback from our customers. |
Here at Activ we always welcome feedback from our customers on the content of any of our courseware or testing products, and we will investigate and respond to all suggestions we receive. So if you have any suggestions to make about the content or operation of our products, please contact your Account Manager, or email our Support Desk |
If you would like to evaluate some samples of the new 2003 tests before your next testing session with candidates, let us know and we will give you access to the new 2003 diagnostic assessments, which you can assess without having to use up any valuable test licences. Please email our Support Desk

New Features in ActivTest Version 6 Administration System |
Meanwhile, on 20th February, we issued an update to Version 6 of the Activ Test System, which introduced some new features. One of these features is a new ‘candidate search’ facility. This will make life easier for customers that have a large number of candidates recorded in the system and who want to find a candidate’s previous results quickly and easily.
Note:- Not all our customers have yet been upgraded to the new Activ Test Version 6 program. We are currently halfway through a process of upgrading everyone to this version which was released last year and has numerous new features and benefits over earlier versions. If you have not yet been upgraded, then we will be contacting you in due course over the coming months.
Another new feature is a ‘save folder’ where test progress and results will be temporarily stored in the event of losing internet connectivity or experiencing other technology problems (e.g. power cut). This provides a powerful test recovery feature whereby the next time the candidate logs in, they will be able to continue the test from where they left off or, in the event that the candidate had finished the test, the result will then be transmitted back to the main server. |
