Activ Has a Worldwide Presence … Did You Know?

We think it is important to inform our UK customers of our increasing ‘reach’ across the globe and keep you updated on various International news and developments. 

Not only has Activ experienced major growth in the UK this year but we have enjoyed a flourishing International operation that is on a continual increase… all over the world. We welcomed many new countries on board with ActivTest this year from Colombia to Russia to Cambodia and then to Macau!

You may not be aware that Activ is delivering solutions in numerous countries within Asia Pacific, Europe, South Africa and South America where English, Chinese, Spanish, Vietnamese and Thai tests are conducted on a daily basis. Activ developed these localized tests to aid the requirements of their International market.

Activ supports another Dalian Competition, China ….

Twice a year Activ has been supporting and providing testing for a competition involving the school system in the coastal city of Dalian in the Chinese province of Liaoning.  This is a major competition for students to take ICDL tests, and the winners of the competition receive ICDL certificates as well as prizes sponsored by the local government, corporations and test centres. 

In October 2007, the 6th competition took place and an impressive total of around 3000 candidates sat 40,000 Activ tests conducted over three rounds.

e-type International …

The e-type certification, launched by the BCS in 2006, has just been taken on by the New Zealand Computer Society and is about to be introduced to a number of other countries in the Asia Pacific region through Springboard4Asia (Our partner that received the Best Practice Award at the ECDL Foundation Forum last year … please refer to November 2007 Activ News!).  We are experiencing interest from other corners of the world and look forward to further interest in 2008! 

For the year ahead …

Activ plans to launch an International sub-site as part of our main website!

We will continue to work closely with our partners to deliver the Activ solution in many more countries, and expect to see a rapid rise in the number of test centres in those regions that are already running with Activ.
