We want to keep you informed of our new product plans for the future and in this issue we have an update on our forthcoming testing and training for Office 2007 and Vista. We are now full speed ahead with the development of these products and we expect them to be available for UK provision by the end of this year.
We understand that this is slightly later than previously anticipated. We apologise for this but hope that this article will clarify the situation and provide you with sufficient information to allow you to plan accordingly. As mentioned in a previous Activ News, Syllabus 5 testing and training will be available for the UK market in accordance with the BCS launch date.
ECDL Testing
To provide flexibility when running the Office 2007 and Windows Vista test package, we are developing an 8 module package comprising an improved Module 1, Office 2007 based application modules (3, 4, 5, 6, and 7), a new Module 2 based on Windows Vista and the existing Module 2 based on Windows XP.
This will allow you to choose which Module 2 tests your candidates sit, depending on their requirements, giving you the flexibility you need.
ECDL Training
With the Office 2007 and Windows Vista training comes a whole new User Interface and its appearance carries a sleek and modern look and feel. In addition, this superb example of leading edge e-learning provides a range of new features including a variety of accessibility options, alternative / shortcut path suggestions and an additional menu that allows you to choose the area of the syllabus you would like to study, and jump right to this in the course. We know these new elements to the training will be welcomed by your centre!
Below is an example screen from the new style Office 2007 and Windows Vista training.

Upgrading to these new tests and / or training will be FREE and very easy for you to do, whether you are running online or offline systems. If you would like to clarify how your systems can be updated to run our Office 2007 and Windows Vista testing and / or training once they are released then please contact your Account Manager or Activ Support on 08448 708441. |
