Michael is responsible for the development and delivery of the e--learning material produced by Activ and his team is now primarily engaged in getting the new Office 2007 / Vista based and Syllabus 5 ECDL / ICDL courseware out to market as swiftly as possible.
Michael is closely involved in defining our accessibility strategy and attended the BCS Accessibility Awareness Day in October 2007 where he received an award on behalf of Activ for our highly acclaimed ActivTest automated test system. As well as his e-learning responsibilities, Michael manages our state of the art data management centre in Canary Wharf.
Sunderland is Michael’s hometown and the local University is where he graduated in 2002 with a BSc (Hons) in Computing. Naturally, he is a Sunderland AFC fan!
Michael enjoys playing many different kinds of sports, including badminton, golf, American football, rugby, pool / snooker … and standard football! Amongst these sports, his main passion is basketball which he has been playing since the age of 15. He has represented many teams including Sunderland University which won the BUSA title in 1999/2000, and he now plays for the Huntingdon Hawks at both a local and national level.
In addition, Michael is a qualified basketball referee and is studying for his coaching qualification.
